The Lake was frozen over completely.

I saw a Mountain Lion Cub last week and today
we learned of 3 other sightings in the last week of the mother.
Cougars are something to be a little more fearful of.
Wildlife is fun, right up until they start chewing on you.
Later we saw this Bald Eagle perched below the
Osprey nest. I used my binoculars as a telephoto lens.

The lake is starting to fill after 3
inches of rain in the last few days.

The lake lost a lot of water this Summer.
But the rains will keep it flowing in a few weeks.

Karen and I took an informal survey (first
of many) of Huckleberry varieties. There are at least 4
varieties. Below are some pictures of the "Blue, Black and

In the lower right of this picture is the
first plant we put in the ground. It's a very old
Rosemary plant we rescued from demolition of the new Poulsbo
City Hall site. Hopefully it Winters well and comes to life
in the Spring.
